The Bayezid Tower (also known as the Beyazit Tower or Beyazit Kulesi in Turkish) is a historical tower located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in the 15th century by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II as a watchtower and a fire beacon to help protect the city. The tower is made of stone and is about 80 feet (25 meters) tall. It has a conical roof and is decorated with turquoise tiles. The Bayezid Tower is located in the Beyazit district of Istanbul, near the Grand Bazaar and the Istanbul University.
