Product Description

German Fountain was constructed to commemorate German Emperor and Prussian King Wilhelm II’s second visit to Istanbul in 1898. It was first built piece by piece in Germany, then transported and assembled in Istanbul. Its style is the combination of German neorenaissance and neo-Byzantine. The fountain’s octagonal dome has eight marble columns, and the interior of the dome is covered with gold-plated mosaics.
