Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, located in the historic Fatih district of Istanbul, is an architectural gem commissioned by Mihrimah Sultan, the beloved daughter of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan. Mihrimah Sultan Camii, İstanbul’un tarihî Fatih ilçesinde, Sultan Süleyman’ın sevgili kızı ve Hürrem Sultan’ın gözdesi olan Mihrimah Sultan adına inşa edilmiş mimari bir şaheserdir. 1562-1565 yılları arasında inşa edilen cami, büyük Osmanlı mimarı Mimar Sinan tarafından tasarlanmıştır ve her detayı onun dehasını yansıtır.

Yılın belirli günlerinde, batan güneş ve doğan ayın cami üzerinde mükemmel bir hizalanma yarattığı söylenir ve bu olay Mihrimah’ın ismiyle şiirsel bir bağ kurar.
